Artist’s Statement

Patterns are created by elements, lines, forms, and colors of the fall. The falling leaf pattern in the first panel evolves to new patterns in each subsequent panel, similar to the changing elements of nature.

Materials

Double and triple hand-dyed cotton fabrics, tie dyed batik cottons, and artist original hand batiks on silk. Machine pieced and machine quilted with fine silk threads through cotton batting.
