DESCRIPTION: This fiber art quilt is a one-of-a-kind piece created by Karen Hampton. It is machine pieced with hand-dyed cotton fabrics, featuring the hand-dyed potato dextrin resist circle print fabric as the focal point. The rings were layered with extra batting to create raised trapunto droplets. Machine quilting surrounding the droplets completes the ripple effect, creating many undulations.

MATERIALS: Resist-dyed cotton and hand-dyed cotton. Machine quilted with silk thread. Hobbs Heirloom fusible cotton batting.
