ART QUILT TITLED: Willow Mist - A one-of-a-kind Fiber Art Quilt by KAREN HAMPTON

DESCRIPTION: This fiber art quilt is a unique piece created by Karen Hampton and inspired by Marie Webster’s White Dogwood and Pink Dogwood quilts and the Arts & Crafts Movement. Some of the same Arts and Crafts ideals from the early 1900s still apply today, especially to art quilters.

ARTIST STATEMENT: The Arts and Crafts movement valued quality materials and design, as well as a meaningful life, shaping the world we live in now. I follow its philosophies every day and incorporate them into my work. I also greatly value craftsmanship, the natural beauty of materials, and the beauty of nature. It brings me great satisfaction and joy.

MATERIALS: Hand-dyed cotton, surface-designed background fabric enhanced with fabric paint and silkscreened designs, heavy wool thread, cotton batting, and silk thread quilting.

SIZE: 32” x 41 ½”

About This Piece

Each piece in the Fiber Wall Art collection is a one-of-a-kind original created by Karen Hampton. Combining traditional quilting techniques with fine art sensibility, Karen hand-selects fabrics, colors, and textures to compose each work — no two pieces are ever alike. This is wearable art for your walls, crafted with intention and care.

Media & Craftsmanship

Each Fiber Wall Art piece is handcrafted using premium cotton and mixed-fiber fabrics, carefully selected for color, texture, and visual impact. Karen Hampton cuts, arranges, and quilts each composition by hand — layering fabric, batting, and backing before finishing with detailed machine or hand stitching. The result is a tactile, dimensional work of art ready to hang and enjoy for generations.

Limited Edition & Authenticity

Every Fiber Wall Art piece is a one-of-a-kind original — there are no editions, no reproductions, and no duplicates. Each work is hand-signed by Karen Hampton and includes a certificate of authenticity. When it's gone, it's gone forever.
